RICE EVENTIDE LAUNCHES A SEASON OF GIVING FUNDRAISING CAMPAIGN
WEYMOUTH, MA: William B. Rice Eventide Home has launched a new fall fundraising campaign, A Season of Giving, as the organization prepares to celebrate A Century of Caring with centennial celebrations in 2024.
Rice Eventide Board President John Spillane says, “I joined the Rice Eventide Board of Directors because they have delivered exceptional, compassionate care to South Shore families, including my family, for almost 100 years. My family trusts Rice Eventide. We are reaching out now because Rice Eventide needs your help.
“Keeping our residents, staff and family members safe during a global pandemic has been the #1 priority of Dwyer Home and Fairing Way. We’re very proud of our track record and safety protocols. Our staff especially have been true heroes on the frontline in the fight against COVID-19.
“And yet, this has been the most challenging time we have faced since Rice Eventide opened our doors as a community-based nonprofit almost 100 years ago.

Fairing Way, an active senior living community and Dwyer Home, a 50-bed skilled nursing facility on the same campus are the evolution of almost a hundred years of vibrant supportive senior housing on the South Shore.
Through the pioneering efforts of our founder Dr. Elmon Johnson and stalwart Quincy resident Mrs. William B. Rice, the Rice Eventide Home was founded in the 1924s in Quincy, MA. While the community began as a retirement home with a small infirmary, it grew into a licensed nursing home offering 24-hour skilled care.
For 90 years Rice Eventide provided high-quality nursing and supportive care to thousands of seniors, regardless of their income level, from a gracious home on Adams Street in Quincy.
