Celebrating her 96th birthday while on a coronavirus “lockdown” was much livelier than Betty Beecher expected.
On her birthday Wednesday, she woke up in her apartment at Fairing Way at Union Point, a seniors community, knowing she could not really go out anywhere or socialize the way she did a year earlier, at a rumicube birthday party in the community’s clubhouse.
